CHR® Tape Products and Materials

Saint-Gobain offers a variety of pressure sensitive adhesive tapes from high performance and/or high temperature materials such as cloth, film, foil, paper, and rubber with acrylic, silicone, or natural rubber adhesive systems.  Each providing benefits based on application requirements.

Cast Films

CHEMFILM® is produced from a multi-layer cast film process which insures pin-hole free construction, therefore, cast films possess inherently superior dielectric properties.  Multi-layering also enables Saint-Gobain to engineer performance for bulk and surface properties suited to the most challenging applications.

Coated Films

The Coated Films product line is comprised of principally silicone, and specialty formulated coatings applied to a wide offering of films and custom laminations. Customers who use these products operate within a wide range of industries, including medical, electronics, graphics, labels, tape production, automotive and general industrial.

High Performance Films

Saint-Gobain designs and produces advanced films from a broad range of fluoropolymer and engineered materials. Our HP films combines the optimum raw material with the appropriate manufacturing process to create high quality film. These films serve high-tech, spec-driven customers in performance-driven markets.

Polyimide Films

Polyimide films are produced employing a world-class process that makes them dimensionally stable and inherently isotropic, meeting and exceeding exacting tolerances, physical, electrical and thermal properties. These products meet ASTM D5213 which supersedes MIL- P-64112B specifications.

PTFE Films

Skived, melt processable, sintered PTFE films are used for wire and cable jackets, and insulation, as well as convoluted hose walls.  Thicker films can be used as bearing surface material.  Skived sintered PTFE films have higher tensile, specific gravity and elongation properties than unsintered, extruded films.

ZITEX® Membranes

ZITEX® membranes are non-wetting, have low moisture absorption, maintain their dry strength and have excellent dimensional stability during use.  In addition, surfaces have the typical non-stick property of PTFE, permitting materials to be easily cleaned giving them superior filter cake release qualities.
